The new autumn season is due to start on the 7th September. We are so looking forward to being back together again, but things are changing all the time – so check the website and Facebook page for the latest information about how and where we are meeting. Some meetings may be using Zoom – so any members not confident in using this please contact one of the committee for help.
Our new season starts early September and we will be holding meetings at the new Citizens House. The day trips are listed on the website and we eagerly await the new programme which will be published very soon. It will be a mix of the old favorites – speakers, competitions, workshop etc. with a few new things for us to try. If you haven’t been to the club before – please come along and see what we get up to!!
Images from members of CPS are on display in the cafe at The Empire Theatre. For the next few weeks the dispaly is “Portraits from India”. This will be followed by a selection of night photography images.
Why not come along for a coffee and see what we have been up to?
As many of you know, the NCPF is the body that organises the Annual Competitions and the Awards and Alliance Portfolios that clubs get on CD each year.
Events and evenings like this only continue with the support of existing volunteers, the majority of whom are getting older or have other commitments as well as the NCPF. The NCPF is in desperate need of several new volunteers who would be willing to help at these events and learn the skills necessary to keep them going. Sadly, without new blood they are in danger of ceasing. We all love entering pictures in competitions, for those who get chosen for judge’s comments or even better, a place in the Alliance entry, it is the icing on the cake.
We are in danger of losing many of those things that make our hobby so enjoyable, so please, think about volunteering some of your free time to help them continue..
If you would like further information or a chat about available roles, ask your secretary to put you in touch with a member of the Executive.
