I’ve enjoyed photography for many years and became a member of Consett PS about 9 years ago. I enjoy travel, street and documentary photography, particularly if it includes people and architecture. I aim to show some originality in my work and always appreciate something quirky and different, so lately I’ve been dabbling with more abstract and creative stuff which is fun.
I qualified as a judge for the Northern Counties Photographic Federation (NCPF) about 4 years ago, I really enjoy this.  I have found that the process of review and critique has helped me improve my own work.  I enjoy the exploration of vision and style in photography and have recently started giving talks on this subject.
I try to get involved in as many photography projects, competitions and exhibitions as possible as this helps keep me motivated.
